shekinah

She·khi·nah

[shi-kee-nuh, -kahy-; Sephardic Hebrew shuh-khee-nah; Ashkenazic Hebrew shuh-khee-nuh] Show IPA
noun, Theology .
the presence of God on earth or a symbol or manifestation of His presence.
Also, She·ki·nah, Shechinah.

Origin:

1655–65;  < Hebrew shēkhīnāh

I’m sure by now that you’ve heard of the “shekinah glory” or the “glory cloud.” This is supposed to be the name given to the cloud that would appear during some times of worship, over the Ark of the Covenant, the cloud that led the Israelites through the wilderness, and even other various appearances such as in the burning bush or on the mountaintops where God’s prophets were permitted a glimpse into His majesty. If you attend some of these rallies for Christ or fire conferences, you’ll hear pastors and worship leaders instruct people on how to pray and worship so that the glory of God will descend because they wanted a physical manifestation of Him. Curiosity led me to look it up, but I couldn’t find it in the Bible. Assuming I didn’t know how to find it, I believed it was the Hebrew name for what I was reading in English. BUT…then I had doubts. Revisiting this topic, I discovered it’s a mighty deception.

Shekinah/Shechinah/Sakinah – The first person recorded to have this name was Sakinah bint Husayn, the youngest female child of Husayn bin Ali, an imam who helped Mohammad spread the Islamic belief. Doesn’t it seem odd that a Muslim would name his child after a Christian event? It might if Shekinah had anything to do with Christianity. Shekinah is not recorded anywhere in the Bible in English, Greek, or Hebrew; however, sakinah is recorded in the Qu’ran – http://dukeofmerovingian.wordpress.com/2011/09/26/sakinah-or-shekhinah-in-islam/

—> This is the Catholic version of creation with God reaching down and touching Adam to bring him to life instead of breathing life into his nostrils as the Bible says. Who’s the chick on “God’s” arm? – http://www.sacred-destinations.com/italy/rome-sistine-chapel-photos/slides/ceiling-adam2-wga

That little red-headed chick is Shekinah, the “queen of heaven.” You’re probably more familiar with her other names – Sophia, Mary (if you pray to her), Isis, Diana, Asherah, Ishtar. Shekinah is a female goddess. Now for the kicker – Shekinah is supposed to be the “revealed” name of the Holy Spirit. These people state the Holy Spirit is the Lord’s wife/girlfriend/consort and the female counterpart to the Trinity.

There are many people today teaching that the Holy Spirit is a woman (which allows them to get rid of Biblical submission or usurping authority) because they decided God had to have a wife to make us.
– This includes stating that since Adam & Eve were made in God’s image, He must have male and female body parts. Well, technically, He made “Adam” in His image and likeness and then made “Eve” to fit Adam. Eve came later in creation, so we can’t assume God has female parts (especially since He’s “Spirit”) or that Adam had girlie parts inside him that God took out to make Eve (yes, a famous televangelist has taught that).
– Since we must be born naturally of a woman, they conclude the Spirit must give birth to us similarly.
– The Holy Spirit is described as a “helper.” So the next leap of logic says that woman is a “helpmeet,” so the Holy Spirit must be a woman since He’s a “helper.”

There are several things they use to reach this conclusion, but the best way to see if the Holy Spirit is a woman is to read what another Person of the Godhead said.

–          “16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that HE may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth HIM not, neither knoweth HIM: but ye know HIM; for HE dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” – John 14:16-17, 26
–          “26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, HE shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.” – John 15:26-27
–          “7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send HIM unto you. 8 And when HE is come, HE will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. 14 HE shall glorify me: for HE shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” – John 16:7-14

Since Jesus is omniscient, I’m sure He understands gender pronouns. Jesus did not call the Holy Ghost a “she” nor an “it.” The Holy Spirit is a Person and is addressed in the masculine.

On to the question of the day…

Where do we get the term Shekinah? What is it?

– “Shekinah is the English spelling of a grammatically feminine Hebrew word that means the dwelling or settling, and is used to denote the dwelling or settling divine presence of God, especially in the Temple in Jerusalem. The Shekinah is held by many to represent the feminine attributes of the presence of God. It is the shakti – female energy of Hindu gods. The nearest Christian concept to the Shekinah is that of the Holy Spirit. The Shekinah is referred to as manifest in the Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem throughout Rabbinic literature.” – http://www.crystalinks.com/shekinah.html (Look at the picture.)

—->Shekinah is derived from Jewish mysticism known as cabbalah/kabbalah. The Talmud is a book that basically blasphemes the Bible and is not connected with Judaism that follows the Torah and not Christianity in any way, shape, or form. This is Gnosticism.

Please take note of the very first image we are presented on the page. It is a hexagram. This is commonly referred to as the Star of David, but it is the Seal of Solomon and used in mystery religions. It was created after Solomon took strange wives that led his heart away from the Lord. The two triangles mean “As above, so below” – the theme of those following Baphomet, the half man, half goat, androgynous god of freemasonry…also known as Lucifer. Included in this religion is the practice of sexual relations/rituals of humans and angelic fallen entities.

“Judaism is a monotheistic religion, strongly connected to a patriarchal God -Yahweh. It may surprise many people to discover that a goddess was associated with Judaism from its conception, and continued to play an important part, in various forms, to the present. The goddess is best known as Shekhina, a Talmudic term describing the manifestation of God’s presence on earth.

While the Bible does not mention the name Shekhina, she is nevertheless bound to extremely old traditions, and closely relates to the ancient goddesses. Particularly significant is the Canaanite goddess Ashera who, at the beginning of the Israelites’ settlement in the land of Canaan, was often referred to as Yahweh’s Consort.

“From the first covenant, Yahweh presented an image of a harsh, daunting God. His character almost demanded the birth of an entity like Shekhina. Also, He could not be seen by human eyes, and only a few prophets heard His voice. Yet almost every religion shows that human nature seeks intimacy with a deity.

The manifestation of a loving maternal entity, ready to defend her people even from God Himself, brings a feeling of comfort that a paternal, invisible entity like Yahweh cannot bestow upon His worshipers.” http://www.crystalinks.com/shekinah.html

“Like any good mother, she could punish too. When she behaved violently, her character came closer to her powerful aspect of the great Asherah, Yahweh’s Canaanite Consort. She descended to Earth to punish Adam, Eve, and the Serpent when they sinned at the Garden of Eden. She confused the builders of the Tower of Babel. She drowned the Egyptians at the Red Sea crossing during Exodus. When needed, she even killed righteous people. Since the beginning of time, six people – Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam — could not be taken by the Angel of Death because of their perfect purity. Someone had to bring their souls to Heaven, and only Shekhina could do that. By kissing them, she released their souls from bondage to this world.

In a particularly touching story, after kissing and releasing Moses’ soul, she carried his body for a long distance on her wings, to his secret grave. This myth connects Shekhina to another ancient goddess, Anath. According to the legends, Moses had to live apart from his wife so that he would always be pure enough to communicate with the Shekhina. This gave rise to the curious myth, later elaborated on in the Kabbalah, that Moses and Shekhina lived as husband and wife. The image of Shekhina, carrying the dead body of her husband to his final resting place, resembles the myth of Anath, carrying the body of her husband Baal to his burial place.” – http://www.crystalinks.com/shekinah.html

—-> Gnostics teach that we all have a touch of divinity in us but we are trapped in our earthly bodies. They teach that Yahweh, an evil god, created us and trapped us in matter, but Sophia came to free us and show us how to reach our god state. This is the same belief we see through Shekinah. Of course, this all contradicts the Bible with this goddess taking the Lord’s glory and then having Moses separate from his wife so he can be “pure enough” to sleep with a deity, but let’s read just one example.

– “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” – Jude 1:9 – Michael, the archangel, buried the body of Moses. No female anything is mentioned regarding this burial.

“The Kabbalah greatly elaborated on the theme of the feminine aspect of God. She would appear as the powerful Matronit, the controversial Lilith, and finally, as the glorious figure of Shabbat Hamalka – Queen, Bride of God, celebrated every Saturday by Jews all over the world as they light the Sabbath candles.” – crystallinks

Who is the Mediator between God and Man?

“5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” – 1 Tim 2:5-6

Again, it is robbery to claim the glory that belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ belongs to another, yet that is “Shekinah’s” position.

“Shekinah means “presence of God” & relates to the feminine aspect of the Holy Trinity. It is the energy that sanctifies from within the dimension of matter or the Holy Spirit. Shekinah is the visible manifestation of the divine presence.” http://shekinah.elysiumgates.com/

—–>The Talmud teaches that Shekinah is everywhere – omnipresent. She is the cabbalistic feminine aspect of God aka the holy bride – intermediary between God & man. She rules conception of children, sexuality & sanctity of marriage – cosmic mother. (She is a pagan goddess.) “She is said to have created the world.”
– The person that wrote this article is a “spiritual” Protestant that doesn’t support any particular religious dogma/belief. What Christian does not care if the next person knows the true Jesus? Our eternal destination rests on the truth contained within the Bible.

“She may be distinguished from the ‘Canaanite’ Mother Goddess Asherah who the ancient Hebrews honored until about 622 B.C.E. when King Josiah removed the Asherah from the Jerusalem temple and destroyed the outlying shrines. While she does not appear by name in the five books of Moses, the explicators of the Old Testament refer to her in interpreting the text. For example, when Moses encounters the burning bush, he is told to remove his shoes and prepare himself to receive the Shekhinah. According to the rabbis, the choice of the simple thorn bush as the vehicle for the revelation was to emphasize the Shekhinah’s presence, since nothing in nature can exist without her. In Proverbs, we are introduced to the Divine Mother as Chochmah (Wisdom), who was present from the time of creation as the loving consort and coarchitect with the YHVH, who also reflects the association of the Shekinah with humanity.

In the Talmudic view, actions harmful to other human beings or the earth cause the Shechinah to flee, and she rises upward to the Seven Heavens.’ On the other side of the scale are the positive actions of humanity which attract her presence downward to the earth.

The other way that the Shechinah is drawn downward is when people are in need of her as a comforting presence. The rabbis tell us she hovers at the bed of all sick individuals and is seen by the dying as they exit the world into the great light. According to tradition, the Shechinah comes to the good and true at death, giving them the opportunity to go straight up the center of the heavenly ladder in a moment of pure consciousness, into the merger with the Divine. The Shechinah is intimately connected with expressions of human love, particularly romantic and marital bliss. It is she who blesses the happy couple; the glow of lovers is considered to be the reflection of her presence, The scholars of the Spanish and Safed schools also understood that the Shechinah could “appear” to inspired individuals (or “Prophets”), and that the form adopted would be a reflection of the divine purpose (Novick 204-14).

Shekhinah is identified with the eagle’s wings both in Exodus and Revelation and is thus the ultimate mystery the nagual of the shaman’s vision quest exemplified in Moses’ ‘burning bush’. She is also identified as the feminine moon deity (Wolkenstain and Kramer xv).” http://shekinah.elysiumgates.com/

–          Well, isn’t that a twist? First, ancient Hebrews worshiped the Lord while idolators worshiped the false goddess. Why? “4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: 5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” – Deut 6:4-5
–          Co-architect? Where do we hear the phrase “Great Architect”? Freemasonry. They pay homage to Lucifer. Just because there is personification used in the Bible doesn’t mean “wisdom” = female Holy Spirit.
–          Let’s see why the Bible tells Moses to remove his shoes. “2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” – Exo 3:2-5 – Yeah, it says nothing about preparing to receive anything. Instead it says the Lord is holy and may not be approached in just any manner.
–          Their legends state she comes down when comfort is needed, for “good” people, and escorts people up the ladder into the great light. Every secret society claims to have access to the great light, but the Bible states that Jesus is the Light. Stairs is another symbol in freemasonry for ascending to heaven. There are no “good” people. The Bible says there is none good, so no “good” deed is going to bring a deity to earth to reward us. However, “bad” deeds cause her to run away. What kind of god hides from people? She can kill people, but her feelings get hurt when they’re not nice and cause her to pout and hide? Okay.

Mike Hoggard – Shekinah (10 min clip)

–          Overview warning

With great pain and disgust, I include the website of an “apostle prophetess” that gives her “revelation knowledge” of the “secrets” that “God” revealed to her while she was taking a bath and bathing in the deeper anointing because she prayed the angel would stir her bath water. I would give more information about it, but I just couldn’t bring myself to listen to a second of her 1.5 hour video.

“Prophecy 90 – What is the name of the Ruach ha Kodesh/Holy Spirit?” – I couldn’t read through this entire page because I was concerned I might injure myself because I kept shaking my head and rolling my eyes. – http://www.almightywind.com/prophecy/proph90.htm

Where did she live? How is she known to people?

“In earlier times, God was seen as either dwelling in the clouds or in high places like mountains or very high hills. With the construction of the Ark of the Covenant, and then the construction of the Temple, a part of the Godhead came to dwell in the Ark and then in the Temple. This could not be the male God, the God of the Sky and of High Places. So Shekinah, formerly known as Asherah, a Goddess of Earth and Sea, came to dwell in the Ark of the Covenant and then in the Temple.

Originally it was Asherah who dwelled in the Temple as the Bride of God, His representative there. But after the “reforms” of King Josiah, Asherah worship was forbidden in the Temple. Still, the Jews knew that their Lady was still living there as their Queen and the representative of El, their God. So Asherah evolved. She began to be seen as the presence of God, and less as a separate entity. She became Shekinah, which means something like She who dwells (from the Hebrew shakhan, which means the act of dwelling). However, Asherah did not really change. She was always the representative of Her Husband, just as He was always HER representative. She, an Earth Goddess, was also Queen of Heaven. He, as Sky God, was also Ruler of Earth. This occurred only through Their marriage. So, it was not really that Asherah worship ever changed much within Judaism, or that Asherah Herself changed; only, it was made to look like it had changed to fool the patriarchal priests.” – http://www.northernway.org/shekinah.html

–          Stop. Rewind. “1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God. 30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.” – Lev 26:1, 30 God instructed His people not to worship anyone other than Him. If they did, there would be consequences. The Lord always instructed His people to tear down altars, images, & high places for worship. If His “wife” was being worshiped, and she was part of Him, then He would not command it to be torn down.
–          The “queen of heaven” had many names as an idol, and this is one passage against her. “24 Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the Lord, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt: 25 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows. 26 Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the Lord, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord God liveth. 27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them. 28 Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their’s.” – Jer 44:24-28 – Whenever anything was worshiped besides the Lord, especially in HIS house, there was punishment. Goddess worship was NEVER permitted.

Where do we see people claiming to follow Christ worshiping this devil?

“Unfortunately, Shekinah has been all but lost to Christianity. Elements of Her remain in Mother Mary, who was perhaps Shekinah’s incarnation. Mary Theotokos, as She is called, actually held the presence of God (Yeshua) within Her. She is known as the Queen of Heaven, but she is the representative of God to us and delivers our prayers to Him, according to Catholic tradition. [Yes, this is Marian worship.] Her apparitions are much more frequent than the apparitions of Yeshua, and the Father never appears. It seems that She is truly His representative to us, because (as we know) She is His Bride.

The union of Shekinah and El was never more evident than in the Sabbath. She is known as the Sabbath Bride, or the Sabbath Queen. Each week on the Sabbath, God and Goddess, El and Shekinah, act out the Song of Songs.” – Shekinah, Eema, : God the Mother & Pneuma (feminine Holy Soul “Spirit”) – http://www.northernway.org/shekinah.html

–          Catholicism supports goddess worship. Although many associate Catholicism with Christianity, it actually teaches another Gospel and cannot be considered part of true Christianity, which we’ll explore at a later time (doctrines, beliefs, customs, etc). Catholics believe Mary is the mediatrix for mankind and that we must go through her to appease her son. This is unbiblical. She has never been classified as a goddess incarnate anywhere in the Bible. She was highly favored among “women.” (Luke 1:28). The Holy Spirit overshadowed her. God did not come down and have sex with her. According to the feminine teaching, the female deity would either have sex with another female or take over the body of the woman so the male deity could have sex with her. None of that makes sense.
–          Mormonism supports this theology. They teach “a” god, Elohim, came down and mated with Mary to produce Jesus. Mormonism actually teaches polytheism, so it is not Christian.

Check out the first part of this clip. Silly Women

– Notice that Monica Dennington goes to great effort to stress the Holy Spirit is Wisdom and described as a woman. She also states you must bow down and accept that “she” has a seat of authority over you (a man) so that she can counter the Scripture that states a woman is not to have authority over men. If you don’t, “you have the mark of the beast in your soul.”

How did we let this get into our churches? – People want the “experience.”

Signs & wonders – We began seeking signs for the Lord to “manifest Himself.” We allowed people to tell us God was doing things He didn’t do in the New Testament nor for the hundreds and hundreds of years that followed.

Knowledge – We believed people when they said it was from the Hebrew and was what was known as the glory cloud of the OT. We didn’t question what book they used to get the name.

Secrets – Everybody wants to be “in the know.” Even though the Bible is available as an open Book, people want to know more than the person beside them. Pride.

The Bible talks about our Heavenly Father – not a heavenly mother. If you type “shekinah” into a search engine, you’ll see numerous churches with it in the name, people with the name, schools, organizations, and a boatload of people preaching about the “glory” and their experiences, which often include things like gold dust, feathers, weird manifestations, being “slain in the spirit,” etc. If it’s not in the Bible, don’t assume it should be.

“15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” – 2 Tim 2:15-16

Shekinah Hoax — 34 Comments

  1. The Bible didn’t fall out of the sky. The Church made The Bible with all its 73 books, which no one had the authority to remove 1200 or so years later. These were the successors of the Apostles, including that of Peter’s position. As they chose Mattias to replace Judas, the other apostles, including the one Christ gave most authority to, were replaced upon death. It was the new priesthood for Judaism, but the Jews denied them, made Judaism, as established, impossible, and so their Jewish faith’s leaders and their successors lost authority. Even if The Church could have lost its mandate from Heaven, none others would have that authority, including leaders of all those heretic churches that preceded those that started with the covetous, drunken lecher, K Henry VIII, and the mentally unstable Martin Luther and the others who tried to reinvent the wheel by going (their hacked up) Bible alone and created tens of thousands of denominations claiming “sola scriptura” was all they needed to know God’s Will. God created the Church and never authorized a bible in the Bible, though it can’t be contradicted by its own creator, Christ’s established teaching authority.

That brings me to Mary, the Mother of God, who was so for being mother to Christ and, where he is, the others can never be separated from him in some manner. As he is our brother, and his two natures are inseparable, she is our mother, as well, so you’d do well to show her due respect, lest you disrespect Christ as a result. If you’d read Church teachings, and not the lies handed down (you guys don’t mind what’s handed down by your seminary-educated leaders, which is strange if you believe in Scripture alone with no human intercessors; just, it would seem, those traditions, in word and writing, handed down by the Apostles and their successors) you’d know Mary is not to be worshipped (latria), but highly honored above others highly honored, or “hyperdulia”. Whether any individual or group misses the point of honor given her has no bearing on what’s taught. As Solomon’s mother interceded with him for the people, so, to, does Mary intercede for us with Christ. That is why the angel said the Aramaic equivalent of “Hail Mary”. It’s in Scripture, as was Elizabeth’s claim that she was, amongst women, blessed. She was and is a virgin, not having had sex with any man, nor with God (if the Shekina’s feminine, how would she have impregnated Mary?). The brothers and sisters of Christ could, in their language, been cousins, though Jesus said his brothers and sisters were those who did his Father’s will. If he had younger siblings, Mary would have to be in the eldest’s (probably the eldest son’s) care; not a friend’s. He told that dear friend to “behold your mother”, thus adding to Mary as our mother.

Read Jurgen’s “Faith of the Early Fathers” if you have time. Otherwise, “Fathers Know Best” by Jimmy Akin will do. The early Christians believed the basics of what we do today, because what the Apostles learned was true is what we still believe, because the gates of Hell have not prevailed against its ever-pure and holy essence, even if management fails us at times and some think they can do better–and don’t and never did. God’s truth is ever with The Church, but, even if you don’t believe us, you still got the Orthodox, who believe pretty much the same things you don’t like that we believe about Mary.

Consider these things. If I can read your thoughts, you can read an official Cathechism. Call Catholic Answers or watch a good bunch of EWTN or hear a Catholic radio station of that sort, if you have a question or criticisms, if you want to learn to sound like you know what you’re talking about regarding The Holy. Roman (though Eastern Catholic rites are part of The Church), Catholic and Apostolic Church. God bless! I’m glad you criticized post divorce remarriage and charismatic nonsense, as Scripture does condemn the practices.

    • Thanks for taking the time to read, comment, and stand for marriage as God designed. You’re free to believe as you’d like, so my response is not meant to be argumentative as I do not typically make multiple responses on threads or posts.

I have not disrespected Mary of the Bible because that Mary has not been deified. Mary is the earthly, human mother of Jesus because He chose to put on flesh. She is not, however, the mother of God. She is a child of God as is anyone that has been born again. Children only exist as the result of a parent. In order to be the “mother of God,” she would have to precede Him. It is spiritually, biologically, and chronologically impossible for a created being to precede a Being that has no beginning. Since Christ has existed from everlasting to everlasting and created the world (John 1, Col 1, 1 John 1), Mary cannot be the mother of God. The only way she could be God’s mother would be to be God, herself, or for Christ to not be God. If that is the Jesus people believe, they are not serving the God of the Bible.

Mary is not our mother. She had no part in birthing us and created no one. God is my Father because His seed is in me (1 John 3:9-10), and I was born again of incoruptible seed. At no point do you ever see Jesus address Mary as “mother.” He always called her “Woman,” which was a reminder that they are not equals. Jesus respected her as His earthly mother (another living example we are to follow), yet His focus was always on the will of the Father.
      – “3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.” – John 2:3-4
      – “25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!” – John 19:25-26

As far as shekinah impregnating a female:
      1. You’re trying to rationalize based on human actions and understanding. By the same reasoning, one could ask you how Mary got pregnant if she never had sex with God or man. Who says the Holy Spirit carries sperm like a man, if at all, since He is not recorded as having a body? One of the perks of being God is that He can create things from nothing and do things others can’t.
      2. I never said their explanations made sense.

Mary was a virgin during her marriage until after Jesus was born. I have a blog on this here – Jesus Was NOT an Only Child. However, just to highlight some things:
      1. “24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.” – Matt 1:24-25
      – This means that Joseph knew Mary (had sex with her) after the birth of Jesus. If she remained a virgin, then the Bible would state that she never knew her husband – ever – instead of putting a time restraint on it. Additionally, she would be violating his right to enjoy his wife as sex was created to be enjoyed within the confines of marriage (1 Cor 7).
      2. The Bible specifies firstborn son multiple times because there were more children. Had Jesus been her ONLY son, then the Bible would specify as it does in John 3:16 stating that Jesus is the ONLY begotten Son.
      3. The Bible calls many people “blessed.”
      4. Jesus was the eldest son, which is why He mad provision for John to care for her before He gave up the ghost. The siblings did not believe until after the Resurrection. Jesus left Mary in John’s care because John already knew and believed the Truth.
      5. If His siblings were cousins, the Bible would specify the relationship as It did for mary & Elizabeth (Luke 1:36).

Why would God not authorize a Bible? Throughout the OT, we see God giving instructions to write His Words, meditate on them day and night, and teach them to our children. Psalm 12:6-7 are His promise to preserve them forever, which means He considers them quite important. In the NT, God does the same. “16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” – 2 Time 3:16-17

The Bible has approximately 40 different authors and was penned over a space of about 1500 years. The Church has only existed for a little over 2000. The Apostles were not replaced. While many believer there are apostles with the same authority and commission given by Christ, there aren’t any 2000 years post church birth, and we shouldn’t still be “founding” the faith. “20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;” – Eph 2:20

Some of the requirements of an Apostle include:
“21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.” – Acts 1:21-22
      – having been with Christ during His ministry (except Paul chosen later as one out of season)
      – must have witnessed His resurrection (had Christ appear to them personally)
      – be personally chosen by Christ (Luke 6:3, 1 Cor 15:8)
      – be confirmed by other Apostles
      – able to perform miracles such as making paraplegics walk immediately or raising people from the dead (Acts 5:12)
“14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” – Rev 21:14
Notice it says “the” twelve Apostles (limited number – Matthias was chosen by the disciples) and not “twelve of the apostles” (meaning an unspecified number of apostles).

Paul was “the” Apostle to the Gentiles meaning there weren’t other Apostles assigned to us. Peter’s assignment was to the Jews. If Peter’s successors were supposed to follow what he did, they have missed their assignments.
“13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:” – Rom 11:13

“7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)” – Gal 2:7-8
Mary is no one’s mediator nor co-mediatrix with Christ. “5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” – 1 Tim 2:5
Mary had a special role, yes, but she was just as much a sinner in need of salvation as everyone else. Sin was passed down through Adam by the seed of the man. The woman has no “seed,” which is why God provided the seed. Since Mary had an earthly father, she was born in sin (1 Cor 15). We are to be no respecter of persons. We don’t get to rank God’s people into an hierarchical system of who is more worthy or more special. That leaves out a vast number of people including names we don’t know. What about Joseph or the siblings of Jesus? They were blood relatives, too, helped write the Bible, and were martyred for the faith. Just because Jesus had two natures in Him didn’t mean Mary did. Jesus was both God and man. Mary is not divine/God.
I’ve read multiple catholic writings including a number of the catechisms and also have friends who have come out of catholicism because the teachings contradict the Bible, such as Peter’s supposed election to the head of the church as the first pope. One of the confusions comes from the idea that Jesus stated He would build the church upon Peter (petros – a small rock or stone that can be easily moved) when He stated upon “this” rock (Himself – Petra – a massive rock or boulder). Remember the Sermon on the Mount and the teaching about the wise man building his house upon the rock? Jesus is the cornerstone. The cornerstone is the foundational rock. While there are many problems with the teaching that Jesus meant Peter, I’ll address a few:
      1. Peter was married, so the idea that leaders must remain unmarried is false and actually falls under doctrine of devils.
      – “14 And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.” – Matt 8:14
      – “1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” – 1 Time 4:1-3
      2. The position of pope, or anyone who claims to be head of the Church, usurps the position of Christ. You never find any Scripture stating anyone but Christ is the Head of the Church.
      – “23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.” – Eph 5:23
      – “16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” – Col 1:16-18
3.vicar of christ – He is given supreme headship of the Church and is the ultimate teacher.
However, the Bible states the Holy Spirit is our teacher.
      4. God’s representative on earth
      – The Bible states that there are multiple representatives for Him.
“20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” – 2 Cor 5:20
      – Christians are the light of the world because the Light of the World is in us; therefore, anyone born of God is His representative on earth.

There are plenty more, but my response has gotten quite lengthy since the topics you hit on can actually break down into several blogs. Again, thanks for your time.

      • My questions have been answered in and on so many levels. I’m thankful to Holy Spirit for leading to this blog. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you and keep writing.
        Thank you.

        • I’m grateful that God used me to help you and bring glory to Himself. I’m also thankful for His timing. On the same day that I received a painful reminder of the world’s view and priorities, I received your update and was reminded that what we do for the Lord has much more importance. I literally went from sorrow to joy within seconds. We learn about the Lord, follow after Him, and help each other in the process. Thanks for taking time to visit and read.

  2. Can you give me the meaning of Basileia mean in biblical terms? And where in the Bible is it referred too?

    Thank you so much

    • I’m not sure. We usually post on topics we’ve experienced and studied, which are typically around Christian living and doctrine. You’ll have to check other sites for prophecy studies. Since this isn’t a strong point for me, I don’t have any I could suggest.

      • Is it maybe asherah? Is she realy the woman in Revelations 12 also (wich she claimed to be?) Crowned with 12 stars etc. Is she also the woman Wisdom(whom she claims to be) ? If so…. Who is the evil strange woman in Proverbs 8 and 9 (we see 2 woman one is Wisdom and the other one in 9:13-18 is an evil one…) Is asherah wisdom as she claims to be? She also claims to be the mother of us all (Gal 4:26)

  3. The evil strange woman in Proverbs 9:13-18 is Asherah- wickedness. The evil counterfeit – the bride of Baal who proclaimed herself a godess- counterfeiting all that is Holy. This Ashera also claimed to be the manifested presence of YAHWEH- she claims to be the mother of the universe trying to smother and polute the Holy titles and name of the TRUE HOLY MANIFESTED PRESENCE OF YAHWEH namely – THE HOLY SPIRIT- The Real and ORIGINAL SHIKANYAH the REAL MOTHER of us all, who gives birth in Isaiah 66:7- THE RUACH ha KODESH has taken back all that was stolen by the evil one. Prophecy 90 from AMIGHTYWIND MINISTRY states it all very clearly – even the discipples knew that the HoLy Spirit is a WOMAN
Who decended on YAHUSHUA like a dove -the One with the still small voice : ) http://www.almightywind.com/prophecy/proph90.htm

  4. A question. Since man, (Hebrew: adam=humanity) male AND female were created in The Image of The Gods (which is an honest Translation from the Hebrew ELOHIM) (Genesis 1:26-27) and there are THREE that bear witness in Heaven (1 John 5:7, The Father, The Word and The Holy Ghost/Spirit)—in whose IMAGE of The Godhead was Eve or Chavah, made in?

  5. Apparently your IGNORANCE of the fact that Yeshua originally spoke Hebrew, manifested with how you blindly follow the modern misled Bible versions of today (particularly in John 14:26 by the use of the pronoun “HE” for one is that Gramatically FEMININE in Hebrew Ruach) is quiet showing. Did The Original Yeshua spoke Greek, English OR any of the modern languages we speak today? Are “Abba” (Mark 14:36) “Ephphatha” (Mark 7:34) “Eli, eli, lama Sabacthani?” (Matthew 27:46), not to mention Hosanna and HalleluYAH, English — or Greek, expressions? Gender usage should be consistent with the original tongue, NOT the translated language.

  6. Awaiting moderation. I can be quiet persistent in debates, you know. But you can ignore My questions if, like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, you believe that The Holy Spirit, Ruach ha Qodesh is NOT a PERSON (by which pronouns can be used) but only a mere “active force.”

    • Since Miranda/Marinda/Rai have similar comments, I’ll post everything here so it’s easier to follow.

We don’t debate here. No one is twisting your arm to believe anything nor do we engage in back and forth replies as it makes it easy to lose sight of the Bible in order to feed egos of winning and losing arguments. Here, you have several resources to study on your own and make your own conclusion. With that said, this is not our primary ministry. A person’s first ministry is to his family. We have lives outside the internet that include assisting relatives, dealing with loss of family and friends, and major surgeries as well as everyday life. Additionally, we sometimes need to address questions or concerns off the board by importance and time, which means we do not sit by the computer to wait for notification that you wish to debate a blog.

Regarding a mighty winds, I had already posted her link, so a repost was just extra. You can follow her if you want, but the titles she claimed should let you know she’s in error from jump starting with extra Biblical interpretations that conflict with the written word of God. In my first comment on this blog, I mentioned some of the qualifications of an Apostle. This woman calls herself an apostle prophetess. To qualify to be an apostle, she would need to be 2000+ years old, have walked with Jesus during His ministry, have medically verifiable miracles, be confirmed by the other Apostles, and be one of the 12 named in Rev 21. The foundation of Christianity is built on Christ – the cornerstone, the apostles, and prophets. We’re not still founding the faith nor is the Bible still being written. Additionally, the apostles and prophets taught what Christ taught. There is no record of anyone teaching the Holy Spirit is a woman in the Bible. The disciples had no reason to believe the the Holy Spirit is a woman. That would require goddess worship. Pagan trinities are a twisted version of the Godhead, and most of them have a father, mother, and son – Osiris, Isis, & Horus; Nimrod, Semiramis, & Tammuz; Father, Mary, & Jesus (by eliminating the Holy Spirit & inserting Mary, it creates a pagan trinity and idol worship). If anyone teaches another God or changes the identity of Anyone in the Godhead, he changes the Gospel.

“8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” – Gal 1:8-9

Just because “wisdom” is a feminine noun doesn’t make it the Holy Spirit and definitely doesn’t make HIM a “her.” The Prov 8 and 9 references you offered are the word “chokmah.” Wisdom is personified as a woman, most likely due to its gender pronoun. This same word is used in Prov 23:23 “Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.” None of the definitions of this wisdom are ever references to or names for God. If I am to believe wisdom/chokmah is the Holy Spirit in Prov 8 and 9, then it means that I can BUY the Holy Spirit when used in Prov 23:23. If you read that chapter as if wisdom is God, then or an actual person, it doesn’t make sense – especially when you get to verse 10 when it actually mentions the Lord Himself. This is not the first instance the Bible uses a feminine noun and personifies it (gives it human qualities as if it were a real person). In Gen 4:7, God is speaking to Cain and telling him that “if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.” Was “sin” actually waiting outside of Cain’s house for the opportunity to attack him like a mugger, or was God trying to help Cain visualize the seriousness of his situation? Does sin actually walk up to us and have conversations? Solomon, the wisest man that lived, shared some of his wisdom in Proverbs, which means wise sayings.

Prov 9:13-18 is not talking about one specific woman but a type of woman and the ends of dealing with that person (like Prov 5). You’ve jumped from wisdom to the Holy Spirit to Israel. Gal 4:26 has nothing whatsoever to do with “wisdom” or asherah.

“22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” – Gal 4:22-26

This entire chapter is talking about the two covenants. Ishmael and Isaac are living representations of spiritual concepts – our lives under the law and in bondage/in the flesh (child of Agar/Hagar) and our lives in the freedom through Christ/in the Spirit (child of Sarah). We are considered heirs of the promise and Abraham’s seed, but we are seeds through the lineage of Isaac, who was the promised child of God. Paul is trying to illustrate a point and show how both children demonstrated God’s plan and grace even then.

Now, let’s address the Person of the Holy Spirit. I already stated multiple times that the Holy Spirit is a Person, but I guess you missed that entire section before “on to the question of the day” in your rush to call me ignorant. There are several major Biblical conflicts you create by trying to make the Holy Spirit a woman. For starters, as He is part of the Godhead, you are actually creating baphomet – a part man/part woman demon/idol. The Lord married Israel (referred to as a woman) and the Church is referred to as a woman. Making the Holy Spirit female would invalidate the marriage as that is not the union God instructed (not saying it’s a physical encounter, but the spiritual concept completely violates the marital union). Father and Mother and Israel? That pictures makes the Father an adulterer, a bigamist, a hermaphrodite, or a lesbian. No, all Three in the unified Godhead are one and identified as male. Additionally, God has set the man to lead, so having a “goddess” lead contradicts everything God set in place for order and instruction under headship. Referring to the noun wisdom as the Holy Spirit and grabbing random passages where it is personified doesn’t make it God; therefore, there is no reason to believe the translators somehow managed to get John 14 – 16 wrong by calling Him a Him.

In case you are not aware, Jesus speaks all languages – you know, since He’s God. Jesus came through the Jewish lineage because that was the people chosen. Of course, He would speak the language of that people. Regardless of what the original language was, God made it known that He is available to every people group of all tongues. Not once are we told we need to learn Hebrew or address Him in a certain language. While Mark 14:36 has Jesus speaking one whole Hebrew word in this passage to those who would understand “abba,” which is immediately interpreted, Rev 1:8 & 11, Rev 21:6, and Rev 22:13 show Jesus speaking GREEK words (Alpha and Omega), which are immediately interpreted and used for emphasis. It’s not about how we’re pronouncing words or in what order but what we believe Christ has done and Who we believe Him to be.

“27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” – Gen 1:27

“1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” – Gen 5:1-2

The newer, “politically correct” Bibles say God created mankind/humans/them in His image, but it actually says man (“him”) was created in the image of God – not man and woman. Woman was formed and created to suit man based on the design of man. God named Adam, and Adam named Eve (Gen 3:20). Both being called Adam isn’t merely a name for humans but another reinforcement of the oneness of marriage. They are two individuals (plural) functioning as one unit (singular). This is one of the primary reasons we often see women change their last names when they get married.

Elohiym in Gen 1 is a plural intensive having a singular meaning and shows the corporate oneness of God. Father, Son, and Spirit are One yet three different People. The Church is “one” body but comprised of a multitude of individuals. Gen 1 is not saying They are gods as multiple deities. It’s the same word used in Deut 6 where we read God is one. You are trying to force in new Scriptural interpretations based on pulling words and passages from the Bible without looking at the whole. If we were to use this one interpretation as “gods” (multiple divine deities), then we’d have to conclude Jesus was calling the Jews divine and equal to Himself when He said “34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” (John 10:34, which references Psalm 82:6 elohiym). In this case, they are not “God” but “judges” in the earth that were supposed to carry out righteous judgment. One of the definitions means “judges” or “rulers”.

Again, it’s your choice to believe what you want, but you’ll need to find another source for debates. Have a good evening.

  7. Do you realize or have even thought about patrichal-prideful men (especially the “Eraser” & Constantine robbers) erased and changed things and words in the bible? Yet, God can use a fool to get His Word across! The Holy Spirit is a She! A wise woman, signified as a beautiful dove, who helps and comforts her children. The Father, Yahweh, loves Her because she’s His Queen! She didn’t need to have physical sex with Mary to not Jesus to her. God’s image does not represent a homosexual trio. His image is Spirit and the model of family. Bigots are the reason the world is in such a mess! The truth is being rapidly revealed. Praise God! Hallelujah (YAH)!

    • I haven’t had regular access to the internet, so I took a break to focus elsewhere for a while.

This is not something I plan to repeat for every person who insists on believing God had a wife because of her own rationalizations. I get that you’re excited, but the exclamation points don’t prove anything. I didn’t say His image represents a homosexual trio. Your assumption that the Holy Spirit is female suggests that. What you’ve just said is that the Father has a wife and then chose to marry Israel as he said He was married to her (Jer 3:14). So, in your efforts to explain God’s family through feminism’s or mystery religion’s worldview, you’ve just told us you believe God wants men to have as many wives as his heart desires. From this, you have the Father with two wives. Since the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are One, you’re also saying the Holy Ghost had both a Husband (the Father) and a wife (Israel), which automatically represents both polygamous and lesbian relationships, which are both taught as sinful when Jesus preached on marriage. Now, you’ve not only changed the image of the Godhead into one of a pagan mass of sinful confusion, you’ve also altered the picture of the Gospel.

      – God doesn’t need to have sex to create people. Plain example: Adam was formed from the dust of the ground (Gen 1).
      – Constantine didn’t write, re-write, or contribute to the writing of the Scriptures. They were written centuries before he lived and will continue to stand centuries after his demise because God said so (Psalm 12:6-7).
      – Adam came first. Really simple. The first generally has the most responsibility. Older children generally help care for the younger ones because they’ve been around longer and know the rules. You see seniority in the workplace. It is only by God’s election that a younger child would receive a blessing or responsibility that was intended for the elder. It just so happens that men came first because God wanted it that way, and then He gave instructions that they are to lead.
      – The position of a woman in the family is not a punishment but a privilege because every person has value and a place in God’s plan. It doesn’t even make sense that men would purposely make themselves the leader, shepherd, priest, provider, protector of the family given the responsibility that comes with it. People are selfish at heart. We want honor & glory for ourselves with minimum responsibility and no consequences for our wrong actions. A husband is required to be ready to DIE for his wife (Eph 5). His job is to provide for both her and the family. There is no retirement from this responsibility. A man that does not care for his household is, by God’s standards, worse than a God-hating, blaspheming unbeliever (infidels give no respect to God – 1 Tim 5:8). When Eve ate the fruit, she was in disobedience, but when Adam ate the fruit, it was called sin, which then passed on to us because sin passes on the seed of the man. (He was punished for listening to his wife because God gave man the instruction, and it was his job to ensure his wife knew the instruction and that it was followed. God called “their” name Adam. Gen 5:2 Eve’s identity is tied to Adam – not the other way around.) Mary had no seed, which is why she needed God’s seed. When we are regenerated, God’s seed is in us. It is the husband’s job to cover his wife and children. That means he is to protect them from not only natural dangers but spiritual dangers such as false doctrines. If men are on their jobs, false teachers can’t creep into houses to entice and lead away silly women (2 Tim 3 ). Ultimately, the man has to account for what happens in the family under his watch. If he walks away from his responsibility, he not only has to answer for abdicating his post, he still has to account for the actions of his wife and children because he is still one with her. That is why a pastor must be able to correctly guide his mini church family before attempting to care for an entire congregation. Of course, each person is responsible for his/her own sins and actions, but the husband and father is the one that answers for his role or lack of participation in ensuring the right choices were made.

The truth is not being “revealed” as if it were some secret thing. Jesus made His teachings known so that we could hear the Word, count the costs of following Him, and then obey. Christianity isn’t some militant warfare organization or one that practices gnosticism and mystery religions in which we lure people in on false pretenses and spring the truth on them when they least expect it. Early scribes and translators were extremely meticulous when it came to copying and interpreting every dot, dash, and syllable because of Who spoke the words. Nobody had to “erase” anything to make men the dominant force because they were already in control. The Bible doesn’t put women under men’s thumbs but actually places them in positions of honor and respect, and you won’t find that in other religions. Women, like the Church, are in the position of being taught, cared for, loved, and cherished. Men get to play the position of being killed. Yes, they have leadership roles, but they also take the role of giving of themselves sacrificially to the point of death, if need be. God gave them a position of leadership and authority, but there’s also a huge responsibility given to them that is not women’s to bear. If you don’t like God’s order, take it up with Him, but I can assure you that it won’t change just because 21st century western society says the Bible’s wrong.

The Bible is not a buffet in which you can choose which parts to keep and which ones to omit. You either believe the Gospel that was once delivered to the saints (Jude 3), or you don’t. God didn’t ask for opinions or approval. The “new revelations” being taught today are in total opposition to God’s Word (2 Pet 1:20) and, ultimately, teach another Jesus and/or another gospel. Alternate gospels cannot save.

  8. I do not know whether YAHshua spoke greek or Hebrew or King James english to John because john does not mention anything about it in The Book of Revelations…but I like what you say about 2 being one:”.. They are two individuals (plural) functioning as one unit (singular)…” Christ YAHUSHUA also said that they are ONE.separate but ONE- That’s how I believe it also. (When He said Him and the Father are ONE)that’s how I understand the TRINITY : ) when God YAHWEH created mankind He said let US create man in OUR image- No baphometh thing involved. So… Do we know who is The woman giving birth yet in Isa.66:7…? I’m just going with it that it IS The REAL ORIGINAL SHEKANYAH- The Presence/SPIRIT of YAHWEH giving birth to YAHUSHUA.But as you say we all go with what we believe and we will just have to see…Ps Pagan trinities are a twisted-COUNTERFAIT- version of the Godhead, and most of them have a father, mother, and son – Osiris, Isis, & Horus; Nimrod, Semiramis, & Tammuz; Father, Mary, & Jesus(the devil counterfaits the TRUTH)

    • :-) Yes, I agree with you. Honestly, I haven’t thought about what or who that passage represents. It’s not that I don’t believe it’s important. Prophecy is just not my focus, so I leave that to others who have invested much more study time to it. Just glancing through the few things I could find on it, I’m not sure I trust the people teaching since they’ve taught so many twisted doctrines. Considering some of the discussions and questions that have up over the past couple months that need to be addressed, I don’t see us getting to that any time soon.

  9. In Psalms 145:17 ‘The Lord is righteous in all HIS WAYS and holy in ALL HIS WORKS.’ according to Ante-Nicene Fathers Vol III P601-2,’listen therefore to Wisdom herself..The Lord created ME as the beginning OF HIS WAYS with a view TO HIS OWN WORKS. Observe the distinction between them implied the companionship of Wisdom with the Lord. Now Vol IX p 304 ‘This gateway had been rendered holy through the entrance of the Shechinah into the temple.’Now in Proerbs 8:20 “I[WISDOM]lead in the way of righteousness.’ In Zohar Vol V P 39 ‘Holiness[i.e. that is its name should be linked with God as the name Adonai is]. p 258 She is called Lord when she rests on the two cherubim…She appeareth as Adonai.’ Ante-Nicene Fathers Vol IX p317 ‘Christ as Wisdom and sanctification and redemption. We must not, however, pass over in silence that He is of right the wisdom of God,and hence called by that name…see how well the Wisdom of God which is above every creature speaks of herself, when she says:God created me the beginning OF HIS WAYS,FOR HIS WORKS.’Prov 8:22 ….though we might have conceived that He was not the wisdom of God or the power of God,absolutely. but only for us.’ According to Zohar Vol I p367 ‘..not so much should be reealed to the world, but when days of Messiah will be near.. will discover secrets of Wisdom.’ Know thyat the whole mystery rests upon Jesus coming in the Name,to raise the Name, sanctify the Name, glorify the Name which is found in John 12:27-8 ‘Father save me from this hour BUT FOR THIS CAUSE, came I unto this hour,GLORIFY THY NAME.’ in Clement of Alexandria Ferguson p 159, ‘Salvation is the restoration..of form…B the form is closely associated with and identified with the NAME. The act of restoration is the cricidication and baptism….and restored them and Wisdom to the fullness. Now according to John Anchor Series Vol 29 p 537 ‘What is this DIVINE NAME that has been given to Jesus and that He glorifies through His death….NAME,Kyrios,Adonai.’ Understand that according to the New Testament that there is one God and one Lord Jesus Christ. LORD {JHVH} manifested through the Adonai which means Lordship of Jesus Christ in the new dispensation and Covenant. Note contradistinction of the LORD and Lord Adonai. God is LORD and his lordship uses Adonai.

    • …..
      1. As your first couple of lines show, wisdom was “created.” God is not a created being but the Creator of all. Since God has existed from everlasting to everlasting and created this existence, He cannot be created.
      2. The Lord refers to Himself as “Father” (masculine). The Lord Christ is called “Son” (masculine). Christ referred to the Holy Ghost as “He” (masculine). The Lord would best know if He is male or female.

      “Yea, hath God said?…”

Either one believes the Bible (God’s words) or he doesn’t. The Lord identified the Holy Ghost as “He.” If the Bible containing God’s own description of Himself isn’t good enough for someone, then nothing I write will make a difference.

  10. I’m sorry guys but you’ve all got it wrong. The Holy Spirit is feminine. The English term holy spirit derives from the Greek “pneuma” which is a neuter term. The Christian bible (every version) comes from the Jewish old testament, which was written in Hebrew with some parts being in Arabic. The Arabic term for holy Spirit is Ruach Ha Kodesh, which is a feminine noun. In Hebrew, it is Chokmah (pronounced HOK-mah, with a thick accent) which means wisdom and is a feminine pronoun! Just like the Greek Sophia=wisdom.
The Hebrew word Elohim means God. But Elohim is Cannanite in origin and means God also but when used in a plural context means Gods. In the book of Genesis God says “let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness.” I’m no English major but I’m certain us and our are words with a plural meaning, denoting more than one. It goes on to say,”and let THEM have dominion over the fish of the sea…” God specifically says them. Furthermore it says, “male and female created he them.” but paragraphs later it says “And the Lord took the man and placed him in the garden”. And then later: “And the Lord God said it is not good that man be alone.” And he decides to create Eve… do you see the glitch? In the beginning we are told man and woman were created at the same time and God said they when talking About them having dominion and such.. but only man placed on the garden. And then God notices man is lonely and creates eve. The very first contradiction.
Here’s why this is. In the original Jewish scriptures it says Elohim instead of God, referring to Yahweh and His Bride, Ashtoreth (Hebrew name for Asherah). in the original story it was Adam and Lilith who we’re created at the same time. But Adam wanted to dominate Lilith but refused. She saw that they were equal, equally made of the same dust of theearth. But once patriarchy took over the Israelite priesthood Lilith was kicked out of the garden and eve was created. But when this happen they didn’t remove or reshape the prior verses before the creation of eve. And in the original story it was Lilith who convinced eve to eat the fruit, to give her an upper hand with Adam, her pig headed husband. She was named a serpent because of what she did. But the bible says she was physically a serpent to begin with.
But when reading God’s curse on the serpent it made me wonder what the serpent did before it was turned into a serpent…?
And when western society translated the bible to English all of this was left intact. And for some reason the serpent is named the lier even though it told the truth, that She wouldn’t die, but would know good and evil as God does. But Christians say that God ment spiritual death should they eat the fruit, and that when she did eat, she spiritually died because she knew Good and evil as God does… that makes you question, if knowing good and evil is bad for your spiritual health, what does that say about God who also knows? Either way the serpent spoke the truth…
And you guys keep referring to God having sex to make us? No. What it really means is that in the beginning of everything our soul were taken from God’s spirit, that’s how he lives in us. Our souls are sparks from the Divine fire spirit of God.
The divine mother gave our souls life. It’s like this. Our Brains have a right and left side. The right governs logic, writing, talking and every waking day action. While the left governs our dreams, personal memories, faith and devotion, love, and other emotions… she is the emotional half of God while the Divine father is the intellectual half. When they speak, it is through one mouth. No matter what they are always one. A Hindu proverb explains: He is the milk but she is the whiteness of the milk.”
They are two sides to the same coin. Mother and Father. If God doesn’t have a wife, why then must he insist on us marrying in our short time on earth? Why and how could we have the privilege of marrying someone we love, when that privilege is something that God doesn’t have? How could we have something god doesn’t? In all of nature there is male and female. That’s exactly what you tell us gay people. But while lashing at us with the male and female argument, you praise a Heavenly Father who is essentially a single parent. A He without His She. We Mary someone we love, someone who competes us and sends our hearts into fiery bliss with a smile. Such a love that powerful should come from God, from his love for Her. With out her your left with a celibate Son, a celibate father, and a celibate earthly mother (Mary). I’m sorry but that’s not life affirming, its life denying. Denying human sexuality is denying human love And human life, gifts of God’s spirit. Of If You need more biblical proof let me know. But remember, no being on earth is born of just a male with out a mother. The best we have are androgynous earth worms but even then the female is there and included. Women produce and create life from the seed of men. We came from The Fathers spirit but it was the Mother who gave our souls the breath of life, just as mothers here do.. any questions? Please excuse the typos or doubled words, my phone hates me lol but know this: the Mother comes to fulfill all religion, not abolish it. She saved my life.
I use to be extremely suicidal, I did allot of drugs and drank, I was careless and friendles. but ever since I’ve Come to the Mother, I’m a better person, carring compassionate. Hell I feel guilty of if I accidentally kill a caterpillar or something. I haven’t self harmed in years. I’m over all changed..

    • errors forgiven :-) My phone wouldn’t let me type past the first paragraph. This is a long response because of the multiple topics addressed, so I’m trying to give enough information to be clear and, hopefully, answer questions.
This is a great example of a gnostic teaching even though it is incorrect and inconsistent. I can see how people who did not have people around to help answer questions about the Bible could be led to follow it.

The Holy Ghost – yes Ghost is pneuma (Greek πνεῦμα) and neuter. Holy is hagios From hagos (an awful thing) [cf ἁγνός (G53), θάλπω (G2282)] as meaning most holy thing. This would be the most Holy Ghost. All in Greek. While we see evidence of God’s Spirit in the OT, the Holy Ghost is given most attention in the NT to describe His function and how He points us to Christ. In the NT where the phrase Holy Ghost is not used, we look for references to God’s Spirit (as in 1 Thes 4:8), which is still pneuma. Spirit in the OT is a feminine noun, and spirit in the NT is a neuter noun.

Does that mean the Holy Ghost is female? No.

The Hebrew word for ghost/spirit, as you pointed out, is ruwach (From רִיחַ (H7306)). Not only is ruwach the Hebrew word chosen for the Holy Spirit, it is the word to describe all of our spirits.

      – “8 And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.” – Gen 41:8 – Pharaoh was given visions from God that would be interpreted by Joseph that would save the people – more importantly, preserve the lineage of Christ.
      – “27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:” – Gen 45:27 – Jacob/Israel was informed that Joseph is still alive and wants the family to join him in Egypt.
      – “27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.” – Lev 20:27 Both men and women have a ruwach.
      – “14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.” – 1 Sam 16:14 God’s Spirit and the evil spirit both are ruwachs.
      – “5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?” – 1 Kings 21:5 This is Queen Jezebel talking to King Ahab.
Pharaoh, Jacob, King Saul, and King Ahab were all men, and they all have spirits. Every single time spirit of ghost was mentioned, it was ruwach. Since we know for certain that these few examples I listed (there were many, many more) are not female, we can see that having a feminine noun attributed to a particular person does not make him a female.

Let’s look at “holy” in the Old Testament.

Holy is “qodesh” (From קָדַשׁ (H6942)), which is a MASCULINE noun. Psalm 51:11 shows David speaking these words together. As you stated, it is Ruwach ha qodesh or (w’rûªch qäd’sh’khä), which is Spirit that is holy – or feminine noun (that can be applied to both male and female) described and made specific by masculine noun. Now, I don’t know much about Hebrew, but when the same word is applied to both genders, I find it difficult to believe that just looking at one part of the word and grabbing random portions of the OT makes the Holy Spirit female, especially when Jesus went out of His way to describe Him as male.

Wisdom comes from God Who is Omniscient. To say that the Holy Spirit is Wisdom and the sole giver of wisdom is to say that the Father and Son aren’t wise or, at least didn’t become wise until the Holy Spirit decided to share. That undercuts the very character of God being omniscient.

The biggest problem I see here is that people understand in order to be saved that you have to accept God for Who He is. Someone decided that since ghost/spirit is a feminine noun in the OT (neuter in the NT) and that Wisdom is personified and a feminine noun that it must be a woman. That same person didn’t bother to explain that everyone’s spirit is written as a female noun, and clearly all of us are not women. That’s selectively deceptive and spiritually destructive. People are honestly looking for answers and are being purposely misled.

      Contradiction misunderstanding
Gen 2 is an expansion of Gen 1. Genesis 1 is an overview of everything that happened during Creation week, which is why we see a succession of events/verses primarily connected with the word “and.” Gen 1 gives the history of heaven and earth. Gen 2 gives us a detailed look into the care God used in setting the foundation of the family. While Gen 1 gives us the history of the earth, Gen 2 shows us how He reflects Himself in the world. Yes, there is a corporate oneness in God – Father, Son, & Holy Ghost – and all Three are One. When Eve is formed and brought to Adam, we then see the first marriage union. The two are made into one. they are two separate individuals (as within the Trinity), yet they are one unit (as in the Trinity). Additionally, marriage is the one human relationship chosen to reflect God’s relationship with His people. that is why so much time is taken to give that account. It would be like me telling you everything that happened in my work week and then going back to tell about a conversation I had with my co-worker on Wednesday. The events that happened through Friday still occurred, but whatever happened on Wednesday was so important to me that I wanted to finish one thought before going back to give you details.

The created order was established before Eve. Adam has his assignments already. God is not slow. God made a statement that was recorded for our benefit to help us realize our need for our spouses and our roles as spouses. It wasn’t an afterthought. God could have just created Eve and brought her to Adam, but by showing Adam that every animal created had a mate and was able to create offspring with that mate, it showed Adam that he wasn’t complete by himself. That is why Eve was created – to be his helpmeet.

      __________________________________________________________________

The Bible doesn’t remove Elohiym. It just says, “God.” Christians already understand that God is Three Persons.
Lilith is a character from Jewish mysticism that was formed by combining historic Scriptures with paganism. Woman was made second and automatically falls under male headship. Head means leader – first. Adam and Eve were the only two people existing, and they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden once they fell. An angel was placed at the entrance of the garden to keep them from reentering. Gen 4 tells us Adam and his wife then conceived and had the first child, Cain. The second, Abel. Now, we have four people in the world. According to what you just stated, Lilith was kicked out of the garden after patriarchy and the Israelite priesthood was established. The problem with that is that there is a difference of about 2550 years between the Creation and the establishment of the priesthood. So, that’s chronologically and biologically impossible. What you’re also saying is that Adam’s “first wife” was expelled, but he didn’t warn the second one, and Eve didn’t question talking to a woman that somehow managed to slip by an angel with a flaming sword whose only job was to keep one person out of the garden. Can you see how that doesn’t make sense?

The serpent was a serpent. The devil, who had fallen from Heaven, had now turned his hatred to mankind since man was made in God’s image. The devil’s original name was Lucifer, which means light-bearer. He was an archangel and one of the highest ranking spirits. The devil has a range of abilities to include communicating through a serpent. Gnosticism’s interpretation generally involves saying that God was some aborted offspring of a mother & father deity Who created his own universe and trapped people in matter. Because the mother couldn’t just appear and “save” Adam & Eve from their spiritual prison, she slithered down in serpent form to tell them to eat the fruit God told them not to eat that would help them become enlightened to figure out how to save themselves. This idea is what we see circulating today – all man needs is enough knowledge to save himself. They conclude Jesus’s purpose was to show people how to become fully enlightened. Of course, the big question here is that if the fruit would free Adam & Eve from bondage, why would God put it within reach if His whole purpose was to trap, imprison, and control them? Prison guards don’t leave keys in front of convicted criminals and ask them not to let themselves out of their cells.

      ___________________________________________________________________
Did the serpent tell the truth? He promised Eve she wouldn’t die.Is Eve still alive today? Did Adam die? It was both a natural and spiritual death.
      – Spiritual – They were immediately cut off from God. They no longer shared the same relationship they had had in the Garden and now needed a Redeemer to cleanse them (and all of mankind) from sin because God is holy and cannot look upon sin. Adam & Eve made clothes from fig leaves, but their methods to cover themselves were insufficient. God had to provide a sacrifice to cover them.
      – Natural – The earth, and everything in it, have continually deteriorated slowly and consistently. Had they dropped dead immediately, then both of them would be in hell and would not have had the opportunity to repent, and God would have had to start over because of the contamination already present. God is merciful and gives people space to repent of their sins. We can see they taught their sons what they should do as both Abel and Seth were considered righteous. Cain, an individual capable of choosing his own path, chose to reject God.
Secondly, the phrase is generally understood to mean “dying you shall die.” There is an unspecified time period connected between the instant spiritual death (when their eyes were opened) and the physical death (when their eyes were shut for the last time). Here are two more in-depth references on that. http://www.accuracyingenesis.com/die.html , https://answersingenesis.org/death-before-sin/genesis-2-17-you-shall-surely-die/ The first also offers suggestions about the serpent, too.
Since there was both a spiritual and physical death, the serpent communicated no truth except that she could not drop dead immediately. He knew the consequences as the devil had already experienced a permanent fall of his own, so he knew what separation from God was.

      _____________________________________________________________________

I know of no true Christian who teaches that God had sex to make us. That’s nowhere in Scripture. God is, by definition, self-sufficient. God’s “wife” was Israel, yet He didn’t have to have sex with her, the nation, to have a people. (see the Permanence of Marriage Displayed by God blog for an expansion) God doesn’t “insist’ men take wives. The Apostle Paul states that some are gifted in singleness. However those who have desires in them should marry wives and dwell with them (1 Cor 7). Marriage is an option – not a command. However, once you get married, there are commands to be kept. Marrying for “love” is something permitted, but it isn’t solely a reason to start or keep a marriage. When people “fall in love,” it is an emotional experience they have. It also suggests they can “fall out of love” and leave the remaining spouse at whim. Love is not fickle. It is neither driven by emotion nor devoid of it. Marriage is first and foremost a picture of salvation. The husband represents Christ, and the wife represents the Church. At no point does Christ ever abandon His bride, so a man that leaves his wife actually paints a blasphemous picture of Christ. Just as Christ is the head of the Church, the man is the head of the wife. It is his job to lead, teach, disciple, protect, provide, and care for his family with everything he has because that is what Christ did and continues to do for His people – even to the point that He gave his life to save us. The Bible tells and shows us in several places that God has established male headship, which mirrors Himself. The Church is the Body of Christ, and He is the head. If he does not lead, we fall apart.
God doesn’t have a “goddess.” Pagan religions have goddesses. Parents often give their children things they don’t have. However, that does not mean that God has no bride. God married Israel, His people. He entered into covenant with them. When Jesus came, He was both God (Husband) and man (mortal). His death made Israel a widow and ended the marital covenant that was established under the Law of Moses. When Jesus arose, He extended a new covenant (salvation through His shed blood). Israel could enter (since she was widowed), and Gentiles could enter (since we were originally outside the covenant). Love is a choice to do what is right and necessary for the one you care about regardless of how you feel about the person at the time. Today’s view of marriage is often an emotional fairy tale that’s initially driven by lust because no one takes the time to explain the purpose of marriage, a father giving his daughter to her husband, the purpose of purity, the blood covenant, etc. When people change their minds, they’re ready to swap partners.
God is outside of nature since He created it; however, if you feel He must have something we have, then you have to look at the fact that from Gen – Rev, He talks of marriage. Revelation ends with the marriage supper of the Lamb in which the Bride of Christ (His people) are finally and permanently united with Him. It’s not a matter of being cruel to state that homosexual unions do not constitute marriage. People do not get to define marriage. Otherwise, the man who married his video game girlfriend, the woman who married a dolphin, and the woman that married a bridge are all in holy unions. People can and will do whatever they want. However, marriage was, is, and always will be whatever the Creator ordained it to be. Two men together is not only an incorrect picture of Christ and His bride, but it’s inconsistent with Creation, which requires male headship. The phrase “anything with two heads is a monster” immediately comes to mind for both two men in a relationship and a man married to a woman who insists on leading. Two women together is a picture of the Church trying to save herself – without Christ. There’s no male headship there and no proper spiritual direction. A body without a head is dead. The woman is not less equal in God’s eyes but shows her submission to do the will of God by voluntarily submitting to her husband as Christ did to the Father.

This is not about depriving you of sexuality. There are plenty of heterosexual people that feel deprived also. Consider all the people standing and praying for their husbands and wives to not divorce them or to return to them. Some have waited DECADES. Is that hard? YES! However, going against the lusts and desires of the world can be hard when you surround yourself with others doing the same thing. God’s Word challenges us to do things against our flesh. While one person struggles with lust another may struggle with temper while another may struggle with taming the tongue. Jesus tells us in Matt 19 that some will become eunuchs for the Kingdom of God. These are people that have the opportunity to commit sexual sins but choose not to act on those urges because they recognize disobedience is not the way to honor and glorify God. When you think about the sacrifice the Lord Jesus made on our behalf so that we can choose to have life with Him, is it really such a hard thing to ask Him to help us in areas of sin in which we struggle? What we also have to remember is that we define ourselves in terms of what God has told us about ourselves. We can see similarities between God and ourselves, but that’s not to say that we are cosmic equals meaning that whatever happens on earth must be happening in Heaven. There are still colors, smells, foods, animals we’ve never experienced or known. We’re still in the natural, and what happens in the natural is dictated by what happens in the spiritual realm. If you think about it, we’re behind.

As I’ve said in the blog, previous comments, and this response, there is no mother goddess. However, God is loving, which is why those with God in them can love. Those who have not God can’t love because it’s not in them to love. Until you truly understand the love of God, you can only give a form of it to anyone because you haven’t understood sacrificial love. I believe the Holy Spirit is calling you, and HE (smile) has a purpose for you. I’m glad that you’re still here. I’ve worked in a variety of behavioral health settings including working with homicidal/suicidal individuals with a variety of backgrounds and lifestyles, so I have some understanding of what you’re saying. The biggest problem we all have is the tendency to define the world as we know it, including God, starting from ourselves and our perceptions. When we begin with God and see ourselves as His Creation who are made to glorify Him, then everything else tends to fall into place.

  13. You had better check your Hebrew a little better, and look closer into the story of Moses. She is Daughter Zion, YahuShua’s sister. Her husband/consort is Abandon the Destroyer! They will both be back very soon. I suggest you flee the Synagogue of Satan that is Rome. I suggest you repent and flee Mystery Babylon that is the USA & UK. We are the hammer of the world. The innocent blood in Syria is YahuShua’s last straw.

Read your psalms a little closer, She is the Glory of God, they together are the Holy Right Arm and Mighty Right Hand of Holy Father YahuWah.

Graft back into the true vine which is Israel! YahuShua is the vine, but what is His roots? Have you not read, I have not come to change the law, or the Prophets, but to fulfill them. Not one dot or tittle will disappear from the Law until ALL is accomplished.

    Shalom my friends.

    • It seems that your position is that Shekinah is real and that she isn’t married to God but is married to a demon king.

There is no Book, chapter, and verse to support the Lord having a daughter outside of people He created. The only sisters Jesus had were his earthly siblings born from Mary and those of us who are converted and adopted into the family. There is no Book, chapter, verse to support Apollyon (Abaddon the Destroyer of Rev 9:11), the king of demon locusts, being married…much less to God’s “daughter.” This would mean that there is another holy king other than God if you take the view that Apollyon isn’t an actual demon but just ruler over these demonic creatures from the pit. That creates a problem as there is no mention of God ruling on a throne and other spiritual gods ruling on thrones as well with Him. The other option would be to believe that God’s daughter, glory, and right hand doesn’t know not to marry an unrighteous leader that rules in opposition to everything she knows is good and holy. She would then have to choose which side she is on. Neither of those scenarios makes sense or has any Biblical support. There’s no reason to believe I’m part of Rome or its religious teachings. The countries listed are just two power countries but do not comprise the spiritual entity that is Mystery Babylon. The “hammer of the world” is an unclear reference but irrelevant here considering everything written. Innocent blood spilled is always tragic, but we don’t know the Lord’s timeline to determine what the final straw is. The “Glory of God” doesn’t marry demons, and Jesus doesn’t need help. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father (as in “beside” Him or in a place of exalted authority). Jesus isn’t the extension of the Father. Jesus and Shekinah or Apollyon are not a tag team fighting duo coming to deal with the world. There is nothing in the Biblical account of Moses that even suggests any of this.

In order to graft back, that would mean that I was somehow ungrafted from being grafted in a first time. Since I couldn’t graft myself in the first time, there would be no way for me to supernaturally do it a second time. That’s actually suggesting a person somehow becomes a new, regenerated, creation on his own before changing his mind to go back to an old creature and then changes his mind again to get re-saved. That kind of flip flopping doesn’t happen. Either a person is saved or he isn’t just as a person has either been born or he hasn’t. Now, it sounds as if you are instructing Christians to subject ourselves to the Law again to allow it to be our schoolmaster. There are two huge problems with that.

      1. Jesus already fulfilled the Law. That is why we read “so that it may be fulfilled” multiple times in the Book of Matthew (written to Jews). They would understand that He was fulfilling the Law. At the time Jesus spoke those words at the beginning of His ministry, He had not fulfilled all. However, when He died, all had been fulfilled. That is why He stated, “It is FINISHED.”
      2. We are incapable of following the Law properly (see Acts 15 where the Christian Jewish leaders of the church admitted they could not). We have the choice of either trying to follow the Law to get to God through our own means and self-righteousness, or we can trust in the fulfilled work of Christ, Who is the only One capable of keeping the Law. “10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” – James 2:10 You cannot be free from the law and bound to it simultaneously. Whatever things we needed to keep from the Law were taught in the NT.

I would encourage you to re-read those passages without inserting a being there who isn’t mentioned.

  14. Hi, my Church is aligned with Bill Johnson and his teachings and would like to thank you for your extensive explanations and praise God for dilegent men like yourself. Before I approach the elders with this Shekinah deception I would like to ask you is the word “dwell” in Genisis 9;27 the translated word “shakan” Strongs H7931? Is this another word for Shekinah?
Thanks for your time, God bless,
    Dave.

    • Hi,

“27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.” – Gen 9:27

I do not know Hebrew, so I use online tools. Outside of God being in the sentence, nothing about the usage of the word indicates divinity. “Shekinah” is a noun, and “shakan” – Strong’s H7913 is a verb or an action. It looks like a bit of a stretch to even say they are related just because they have similar sounds. I say that because the phrase cited for the word is found in 128 other passages with those exact same words that clearly do not refer to the Lord. I think some had taken this to make it fit or assumed that this only applies to the Lord because there many references to God being present in an area, but the word, by itself, had no divine value and shouldn’t be thought to be any deity. Here are a few examples:

“12 And he [referring to Ishmael] will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.” – Gen 16:12

“13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.” – Gen 49:13

“17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his breaches.” – Judges 5:17
[Here, instead of “shall dwell,” shakan is translated “abode.”]

      I hope this helps. https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H7931&t=KJV
